The Indiana Union Construction Industry is the largest trainer and supplier of skilled workers in the construction industry in Indiana. Union apprentices receive approximately 2,000 hours of on-the-job education and a minimum of 216 hours of classroom instruction every year. In addition, first-year union apprentices earn approximately the same amount most college students pay for a year's tuition. Journey-level tradesmen can earn up to $60,000 annually once they have completed an apprenticeship program.

Union apprentices are offered the opportunity to earn an associate degree upon completion of their apprenticeship program. Currently, more than 6,000 apprentices are enrolled in the Ivy Tech Community College Building Trades Apprenticeship Program.

The Indiana Union Construction Industry is committed to offering individuals a career with advancement, not just a job. With 14 apprenticeship programs, our journeymen graduate to high-paying jobs and lifelong opportunities directly after high school.
